YOUR HOSTESS

Lesley Orr trained in London at the Cordon Bleu Cookery School, before gaining experience in a number of well known kitchens including Thornbury Castle and Popjoys in Bath. After teaching cookery for two years, first at the Cordon Bleu and then at Prue Leith's School of Food and Wine, she and her husband, Robert, established the Bay Tree Restaurant in Johannesburg, which they ran for five successful years and which still flourishes.

Evening meals are specially prepared by Lesley using fresh local produce
with home-made bread a speciality.

Anyone for Seconds?
  HER cookery demonstrations are full until December,
so the new book by Taunton Deane chef Lesley Orr
is expected to sell like hot cakes.
Lesley, of Causeway Cottage, West Buckland,
is fast gaining a reputation around the region
for her cookery expertise. She has just published
her second book, Lesley's Simple But Good - Book Two,
and is hoping it will attract similar success
to her first release, which sold about 1,000 copies.
Lesley said: "People have written to me saying they like
the easy-to-find ingredients, which is important as we
don't all live within striking distance of Harrod's and
Selfridges! The book contains the recipes that I've found
have worked really well at the demonstrations."
Featuring sections on starters, main courses, desserts
and breads, the book is available from the Wellington
Bookshop and from Lesley.  


Simple but Good Book II is available at £6.50 plus postage.

Lesley's third book - Simple but Good Book III is now available @ £7.00 plus postage.

There is a special offer of all three books for £15.00 plus postage
